I Put It All on a Silver Platter for You 10 Years Ago: When I Saw the Writing on the Wall — Part II

On a matter involving war in the Middle East in the aftermath of 9/11 — the stakes don’t get much higher. For a Maverick who’s worshipped for following the facts — wouldn’t he take the trail to where they matter most?

As in the marquee evidence used to manufacture this fraud?

I did — Sowell didn’t

Which one looks like he’s on point?

Without [the tubes], they had nothing

And nothing on the tubes (or anything else of substance on this endless saga of absurdity): Is what you’ll find in Thomas Sowell’s articles on Iraq WMD. His fanatical followers are so bothered by how much I have to say: That nowhere in their minds does it dawn on them to wonder why he said so little.

“Compared to What?”

That principle is built into every aspect of that imagery staring you straight in the face. And since this issue involves an industry where fractions of a millimeter matter: My answer to “What hard evidence do you have?” is as concrete as it gets.

You can’t have “Compared to What?” without comparing what’s in question.

If you wanna pull that whataboutism bullshit with me — I suggest you reconsider (as my scrutiny spares no side). The fact that I felt the need for a cryptic subtitle 10 years ago — is at the core of this comfort-seeking crap in the first place.

and then some” . . .

You don’t really need to find out what’s goin’ on
You don’t really wanna know just how far it’s gone
Just leave well enough alone . . .

Eat your dirty laundry . . .

We can do “The Innuendo,” we can dance and sing
When it’s said and done, we haven’t told you a thing
We all know that crap is king

Well, they know it and I know it:

But clearly, you don’t!  . . .

That the reaction is not to think it through, not to question, not to assemble facts, not to make arguments — but instead to wave banners and spout slogans such that you could hardly distinguish what they were doing from a manifesto that would come out of [does it matter?]

— Glenn Loury, Tucker Carlson Today

When the context suits you, such words are solid gold. What you do when it doesn’t — determines the worth of your word. Taking on the entire country by myself is worlds away from what everyone else is doing. Explaining America’s decline from decades of dishonesty and systematic self-delusion in the Gutter Games of Government: Is apples & oranges as it gets when compared to the transactional nature of news and social-media norms.

Understanding how seemingly unrelated events impact one another takes time and effort to digest.

You are being conditioned to do the exact opposite. All’s fair in The March of Folly and fraud on the The Yellow Brick Road — the path of America’s predictably counterproductive pursuits. Pay no mind to how many times we go backwards by the means in which you move forward.

Where systematic oversimplification has taken over to the point where inconvenient correlations are condemned as convoluted. And any attempt to have a conversation on issues that clearly call for careful consideration — is hijacked by baseless beliefs beaten into your brain as bedrock fact.

From decades of being increasingly accommodating of liars aligned with your interests: You kept lowering the bar — and now there is no bar.

When are you gonna come down?
When are you going to land?

Believe it or not, the best way to serve your interests is to first and foremost — hold your own accountable. If you wanna make the opposition look bad, try looking good. If you wanna have the moral high ground, try earning it:

The moral high ground, in ethical or political parlance, refers to the status of being respected for remaining moral, and adhering to and upholding a universally recognized standard of justice or goodness.

That is not this . . .

Marching to Black Lives Matter with the first black president sitting in the White House — was that a smart move? The answer should be abundantly clear and yet the question is not even considered. I’ve been blocked on Twitter for just politely suggesting that BLM is a counterproductive cause. Instead of considering how you could fight for justice more intelligently — you act like I’m saying you shouldn’t fight for it at all.

For people who pride themselves as the party of intellectualism — you sure don’t think things through.

Leaving aside her dealing on the moment — a Hillary/Obama ticket was still the smart move in 2008. He wasn’t ready (nor do I think he was presidential material anyway — but let’s leave that aside too). She’d most likely get 8 years — and in the meantime, Obama would be groomed for the next 8. That’s a high probability of 16 years of Democratic rule — and who knows from there.

You wanted a plant when you could have had a crop — and all you had to do was sacrifice a little longer.

But ya just had to have your first black president — instead of getting him as a seasoned candidate 8 years later. This ain’t Monday-morning quarterbacking — I said so at the time. But you weren’t done dealing on the moment — and no matter how many times it backfires, you never learn. Nobody nails Democrats better than Glenn Greenwald’s gold-standard from a 2008 article on Salon.com:

Here we have a perfect expression of the most self-destructive Democratic disease which they seem unable to cure. More than anything — they fear looking weak. To avoid this, they cave, surrender, capitulate — and stand for nothing.

And on that note. Whatever I think of the Right — they’re right on the money about the impossibly stupid pampering of woke:

I don’t see what the problem is!

— Typical Tweeter tapping earth-shattering insight

You don’t see — a lot!

Your track record is not what I would call astute — and the Right doesn’t have anything to write home about either. I fail to understand how you think we can solve anything in a country that can’t even get the self-evident straight. There is no measure for how preposterous it is that people who can’t even grasp the obvious:

Have the bottomless gall to belittle me on making correlations in 3 dimensions while you wallow in one:

It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.

— Attributed to Mark Twain

Debunking the WMD delusion & Trayvon tale is a conduit for showing how this nation systematically derails debate. We’re well beyond “disagreement” in America — this is madness (countless millions miserably failing to follow even the most fundamental methods of how understanding works).

Even if Zimmerman had gunned him down as the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan — Trayvon was still carrying a watermelon drink no matter how you slice it.

The second you shun evidence that doesn’t fit the narrative you want — you have contaminated your judgment. A lot of that goin’ around!

And about that party of intellectualism: In The Unconscious is Not What You Think it Is TEDx Talk, Dr. Joel Weinberger proudly proclaimed the following on being right about Trump’s 2016 win: “How did we get it right and everyone else get it wrong?” By miserably failing to ask the right questions years before — you unwittingly created the conditions to “get it right.”

Now look where you are — outraged over Roe v. Wade and Trump on the rise once again (oblivious to how you brought it all on yourselves).

And for what? . . .

Incredibly . . .

In your immaculate “critical thinking” skills, you look at that:

Coupled with this . . .

And act like it’s this . . .

It’s not my writing, my graphics, or my doc: The flaw is within you and it always has been. You have no original ideas and not a molecule of courtesy or curiosity for those who do.

I have to spoon-feed you like a child while you spit it out and cry about being hungry.

You have no imagination and are utterly devoid of any virtue that would allow for actual conversation to take place. Not that lickety-split, self-satisfied crap you flood the internet with daily:

Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains . . .

Within the sound of silence . . .

In restless dreams, I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

“Fools”, said I, “You do not know”

Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

“And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made”

Speaking of cancer:

So you found one small crack in Sowell’s character where he defended Iraq having WMD, does that hurt his credibility?

This man muddied the waters of debate to serve himself: On a little matter of war in the Middle East in the aftermath of 9/11. On top of unconscionably ignoring irrefutable evidence mathematical certainty (of world-altering consequence, no less) — he has a habit of toeing the party line. Not only did Sowell flagrantly fail to follow the facts on all-things Iraq — he brazenly ignored the debauchery in his own party to politely pounce on the other:

In light of his history being wildly out of sync with his sanctimonious claims: That “one small crack” is a wide-open window into his character and credibility.

I wouldn’t care if Sowell cured cancer:

You don’t get a pass for basking in baseless beliefs that cripple the country — and have the bottomless nerve to preach responsibility & accountability to boot. That is a cancer of its own. The poison he pumped into the atmosphere helped destroy the internal organs of America. So we have very different standards as to what qualifies as a National Treasure.

And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming

Sowell’s army of acolytes march in lockstep in the Facts Over Feelings Parade. And yet, the second he’s scrutinized, those precious virtues you peddle — are rolled right over with your feelings. It would be unthinkable for me to refuse to look at someone’s work — and fire back with your “Where’s your facts?” refrain of an automaton because they don’t instantaneously appear.

Let’s get real . . .

That’s a stunt (like smugly slinging “I’ll wait”) — not a genuine inquiry in the interest of truth. And the only thing you’re “waiting” for is fodder to fuel your next fix. If you operated anywhere in the same galaxy of these claims below — the mountain of material I’ve written over decades wouldn’t exist.

It’s all marketing!

If he were the genuine article — those books would not be so one-sided.

The notion that feelings over facts is limited to the Left is ludicrous. If you were trying to solve a problem instead of sell books and boost your popularity — you’d be fair-minded by addressing how this behavior applies across-the-board. If it were truly about following the facts, you wouldn’t need slogans and wouldn’t want ’em. Your record would speak for itself. Then again, do these people really wanna solve problems anyway?

Do you?

Man is at least as much a problem-creating as a problem-solving animal. Better a crisis than the permanent boredom of meaninglessness.

—  Theodore Dalrymple, Life at the Bottom

“And the sign said”

“The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls”

“In tenement halls”
And whispered in the sounds of silence

To think that congratulating yourselves for ordering a book & broadcasting it for Likes is in the interest of problem solving is pure fantasy. Same goes for recycling the same story without moving the needle and never examining the efficacy of your efforts.

A lot of that goin’ around too!

V for Victory & Venom for Values

In this fantasyland where wishful thinking rules: You can win an argument without even knowing what the issue is about. What you do in denying the undeniable daily would be unthinkable for me to do ever.

People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening

Lara walked along the tracks following a path worn by pilgrims and then turned into the fields. Here she stopped and, closing her eyes, took a deep breath of the flower-scented air of the broad expanse around her. It was dearer to her than her kin, better than a lover, wiser than a book. For a moment she rediscovered the purpose of her life.

She was here on earth to grasp the meaning of its wild enchantment and to call each thing by its right name, or, if this were not within her power, to give birth out of love for life to successors who would do it in her place.
